What the news recently have been containing are all about Hayden’s infidelities and sex videos. About how he lied to Vicky about almost everything. About his denial about his affair with Katrina Halili which he dismisses off as just “for fun.” And about his attempted suicide to win Vicky Belo back.

Hayden has become a monster in the eyes of everyone, understandably because he cheated on the beloved doctor for the celebrities, He, who was labeled as a gold-digger right from the start. Someone who is incapable of satisfaction of what he already has.

Exactly because of these accusations and labeling was he involved with so many temptresses in the first place. Being a young doctor-slash-newbie actor compared to his successful, big time celebrity (not to mention rich) doctor is enough to let everyone think he’s no good. Add to that fact his group of friends his age whose partners are with the same level as them.

With these facts laid down on the table, it’s easy to understand and see how Hayden was able to do the things he did. Out of temptation? Probably. Out of pressure? Mostly.

The fact that his friends are jeering him because of his May-December romance with Vicky Belo and the fact that he’s already been labeled as just a boy toy without knowing the real him first caused Hayden to want to prove to people that he’s something more.

He was involved with a lot of women other than Katrina Halili to prove to himself, and his friends that he is more than what people see him for. His friends especially were jeering him about how his girlfriend is too old for him (he’s only 28 while Vicky is already 53) and about how someone was only able to fall in love with him because she’s too old and would fall in love with anybody anyway.

I’m not absolving Hayden Kho for his infidelities or anything. All I’m saying that there’s always a b-side in every story. What he did may be wrong, but he is also a victim of people’s criticism and presumptions.
