Because you can’t help but love Sam

I am Sam, this is my body, and this is my Fitrum. The first time I saw Sam’s advertisement forFfitrum, I’m awed. I mean, I am aware that Sam is thin, but I did not really know how thin and sexy she was until I’ve seen her Fitrum commercial.

Samuelle Lynne Acosta Pinto, or Sam Pinto for short is Fitrum’s newest endorser following Judy Ann Santos. If you do not know, Sam got the number one spot in FHM’s list of 100 sexiest women in the World 2011. There are a lot of other celebrities that placed on the list also, such as Marian Rivera who came in at number 2, followed by Angel Locsin who placed 3rd. To those who are appealing for other celebrities to be number 1, then they probably have not seen Sam’s Fitrum commercial, because if you’ve seen it? You just might say ‘hands down’ and knows that she has indeed “owned” that top spot.

This isn’t the first time that Sam has endorsed a product; she also starred in the advertorial for San Mig Light, where she also wears a 2 piece bathing suit. (And she already draws sales in by just that sexy and alluring figure – Imagine that!).

Sam isn’t new to the spotlight. At the age of 10, she was already in the modeling scene, got her first modeling job by appearing in several posters for Coca-Cola. She was 19 when she entered the “Pinoy Big Brother” house with the title “Fab Fashionista ng Parañaque”, and was then taking up Fashion Designing at the De La Salle – College of Saint Benilde. As a fashion design student, Sam comes up with her own original and unique clothes. Not only is she blessed with the idea, but you’d be amazed to know that Sam can also sew her own clothes. Her stint in the Pinoy Big Brother was not the first reality show she has joined; she also joined the MYX VJ Search 2008 where she competed with a former Pinoy Big Brother house resident and Big Winner, Robi Domingo.

Sam says that a lot of people tend to misjudge her as the snobbish type when she’s completely the opposite. She says she just looks “suplada” but she really isn’t and you’d  actually be drawn close to her when you know her. Sam is proud to be an extrovert-intuitive-thinker and perceiver, and loves how she is an average-everyday-sane-psycho-super-goddess.”

At the moment, you’d frequently see her advertisements for San Mig Light, Fitrum, and Smart’s Netphone (she says she’s obsessed with twitter). And if you can’t get enough of Sam, you should follow her shows in the KAPUSO network and watch her on shows like “Bubble gang” where she’s starting to be a regular cast.

So you want to be a Pinay Celebrity

They’ve got millions of fans watching their every move. Tons of guys dream of them. You’ll even see them in the gigantic billboards along EDSA (Manila’s main transportation vein – one long stretch of asphalt and commercial and advertising spaces). They are, of course, the sexiest Pinay celebrities! What? You want to be like one? Of course you do – who wouldn’t want to gain fame and fortune by simply strutting their stuff? Let’s check out some of the key factors needed to be the next Pinay celebrity:

Looks
This of course is a must. You would need to have a face that can launch hundred of ships. Or, for a Filipino setting, millions of jeepney fleets. And you would also need to have a body of a goddess, one that’ll make even the most conservative of the male species to stare. Don’t fret though if you don’t exactly look like that girl in that highway billboard. There’s a lot of ways to be considered as beautiful in the Philippines! You can have white smooth skin (Marian Rivera), or have that great tanned look (Angel Locsin). You can have a slim model-type body (Sam Pinto), or be shapely and petite (Maja Salvador). It’s just the way you’ll show yourself, that’ll make people do a double-take on you – that makes a celebrity!

Talent
More than looks, you’d need to have the talent to back you up. Check out Solenn Heusaff. The tall, exotic-looking lady does more than looking good. She actually does make-up work, and even paints! Or Pia Boren. Her sharp, boyish yet charming looks are further accentuated by her great race car driving skills. You’ve got to have the moves, to walk your looks!

Personality
Just because you’ve got something that can potentially make you as a full-blown goddess, doesn’t mean you have to act like a diva. Having the right personality balances things out, and can potentially make you a star in the world of Pinay celebrities. Let’s take Anne Curtis as an example. The very beautiful and fashionable actress, who with her latest release of a solo-album, carries herself pretty well with the public. She even takes public transportation, just to get places! Being down-to-earth and humble can not only win you millions of fans. It’ll also help you gain true friends, and develop you into a mature and respectable individual.

Being a Pinay Celebrity can be more than being pretty. Sure, having the right kind of looks is a must. Being talented is a requirement as well. And living a humble life in a star-gazed world is no easy feat, but needed to succeed in this field. But more than all these, it’s actually just being yourself that matters. You are already a celebrity – you just don’t know it yet! Keep dreaming, and live freely, you superstar!
